Hemp Mylk Recpie
Plastic Free July is upon us so over the next few weeks we will be sharing our tips, tricks, recipes and more to show you how fun and easy it can be to make more sustainable choices to reduce your single use plastic and waste!
First up this simple & quick Hemp Mylk recipe that we are sure you will keep coming back to over and over again...
Hemp Seeds are creamy and have a slightly nutty taste similar to a cashew therefore make luxurious mylk to add to your coffee, smoothies and plant based meals. These tiny seeds pack a punch in terms of nutrition - full of protein and omegas - not only do they make creamy mylk they are amazing sprinkled on top of almost everything!
Have you tried Hemp Seeds or made Hemp Mylk before? Either way, we have them in abundance at Replenish so come in and see us.
• 1/2 cup hemp seeds
• 3-4 cups filtered water (the less water the creamier your mylk will be)
• pure maple syrup (add as much or as little as you like depending on your preference or omit altogether)
• vanilla extract (same rules apply as above)
• sprinkling of cinnamon
• pinch of sea salt flakes
Blend for approximately 45 seconds, strain into a jar and you’re done! Easy, waste free deliciousness!
Note: This will store for up to a week in the fridge in an air tight vessel.
